How to win
Villagers gather wood from trees, gold from ore, and
food from berries, farms and shallow-water fish.
Build a Dock, then Fishing Boats — deep-sea fish are
the richest food on the map.
Houses raise your population cap. Barracks train soldiers.
Advance through the Feudal and Castle ages at the Town Centre:
each one gathers faster and unlocks towers, walls, knights and catapults.
Units gain experience when enemies die near them and rise through five
ranks — Recruit to Legend — hitting harder, taking less damage and healing
faster. Gold chevrons above a unit show its rank. Wounded units heal
themselves out of combat, so pull veterans back rather than losing them.
Goods are physical: food, logs, iron, flax, firewood, cloth and tools sit
in buildings, and villagers carry them where they are needed. Your houses eat,
burn firewood and wear out cloth. Build a Granary, a Woodcutter, a
Blacksmith and a Weaver — then right-click a workshop with a
villager to put them to work in it.
Winter stops the fields and triples the firewood burn. The sea does not
freeze: a Dock and a few boats are the answer to a hard one.
Press F3 — or the Town button — to see what you hold, what is
blocked and why.
Destroy every enemy building to win. Lose everything and you lose.
Tips
Keep villagers working — the Idle counter in the top bar finds them.
Towers shoot. Put them where the enemy walks in.
Repair damaged buildings with villagers (target them with a villager selected).
The build cursor stays armed: place as many Houses as you like in a row,
then finish when you are done. Villagers build them in order.
Drag while placing a Wall to lay a whole line at once.
Catapults do triple damage to buildings — bring them to crack a tower line.
